So many entrepreneurs dive head first into their work, putting insane amounts of pressure on themselves and believing that the harder they work, the easier things will get. But that’s the exact opposite of what you should be doing.
I know because I learned the hard way.
I used to believe that in order to be successful, I had to do all the things, and I had to do them perfectly. I had to have a fancy website and perfectly edited videos. I had to dress the part and surround myself with people that I put on pedestals. I also had to say yes to any opportunity that came my way or else I felt like I was missing out. All that pressure left me petrified of putting myself out there in ways that would bring big results in my business. Instead, I kept my head down, buried in the work 60-80 hours/week, and my relationships, my health, and my wellbeing were suffering for it.
It wasn’t until I took a step back and started to realize that my mindset was impacting everything I did, that I was able to use my mindset as a positive tool rather than a negative setback. I learned that I could have a great life AND thriving business. I didn’t have to choose one or the other.
Today I work less, make more, and never have to sacrifice what matters most to me.
