Ever feel like you're not smart enough to do the thing?

Happy Tuesday Confident Lady,

This week we had an awesome guest on the podcast, Polly Payne who spoke about overcoming the fear of "I am not smart enough". Today I want to briefly dive into this lie with you, as I know so many of us have felt this way at one point or another.

Here is my word of wisdom for you --->You are smarter today than you were yesterday. AND you have plenty of knowledge within TODAY to succeed and do the thing.

A few weeks back on the blog we discussed how many 7 and 8 figure earners don't have fancy educations and how I believe this worked in their favor. 99% of the women that I coach have a bachelors, masters, and even double masters degree, yet are still not feeling smart enough for entrepreneurship.  Unfortunately, more education does not equal more confidence. This is important to note today ladies! I've seen women cave to this lie, go back to school for another masters or phd and then feel even worse than before they had it.

So how do we crush this limiting belief?

1. Tell yourself "If I am not confident with the current level of education I have today, I will not be any more confident with that next level of education". It is not education or book smarts that makes an entrepreneur successful, it's determination, mindset, and grit.

2. Begin to build your confidence today. Ask yourself what you are good at. Ask others what you're good at. And then remember, just because you're good at that thing, doesn't mean everyone else is! What feels so common and innate to you, could be a HUGE struggle for someone else. Saying NO for me today is a piece of cake--I don't have to think twice. But to a new client, it could rule and consume their life. Just because it's easy for me, doesn't mean it's not important. Make sense? What do YOU know and understand that others don't?

3. Repeat this mantra "All that I need today is already within". You have more than enough information today to succeed at something. Is it really worth going and getting one more degree to find that your answers have been within all along? I don't want to dissuade anyone wanting to go to school or go back to school from going, but if it's linked to your worthiness, it's worth exploring with someone.

Did this hit home today? Do you struggle with not feeling smart enough to do the thing? Comment below and share with me!
